How do I find them? From revisiting childhood journeys to finding new destinations, everything starts with a map and usually a story of someone else who has been there. Browsing through trip reports, skimming through photos and gathering all the information I can gets me off the ground with ideas for new trips. Often the best way to start is to pull up Google Maps and look for the biggest splotch of green near you, then go down the rabbit hole and begin planning your trip.

What gets me there? That answer is simple, the chance for a good adventure, the opportunity to see things few others do and creating another story to tell. My inspiration comes from the places I've been and the stories I have. I take any chance I get to have my feet on the trail, in the water, against the rock or buried in snow, grabbing a good breath of fresh air and hopefully experiencing something new along the way. I'll travel with almost any friend willing and am never too busy to find some time to do what I love.
